Karnataka (SunstarTV Bureau): The night curfew which had been decided by the Karnataka Government on Wednesday has been withdrawn, hours before its scheduled implementation on Thursday.
Chief Minister’s Office, Karnataka stated that the curfew orders have been withdrawn as per the suggestion of the Technical Advisory Committee.
The decision to impose night curfew for nine days from 11 pm to 5 am starting from Thursday was taken on Wednesday in line with the Centre’s advice, amid concerns over a new COVID-19 variant spreading in the UK.
Earlier, Karnataka government has made compulsory negative COVID19 RT-PCR test, issued within 72 hours before departure for all the passengers travelling from international destinations to Karnataka.
Otherwise, they will be subjected to mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at the airport, informed Air India Express.
