SunStarTV(Bureau): Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) certainly has forgotten its luck somewhere unreachable. How else, can a team after playing for eight years fail to touch the trophy thrice? However, this year also they could not cross the final hurdle. But in this IPL-2020, RCB players took its game play to the next level. The way they started of the game, it gave a ray of hope to the RCB fans.
RCB made it up to the eliminator round, where they were defeated by the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH). RCB’s head coach Simon Katich feels that the batting order has let them down in the second half of the IPL 2020. At the post-match presentation Coach stated, “We felt like we were on track at the 10-games mark, and then heading into the last four games… looking back on it now, it feels like we probably ran out of a bit steam,” .
Looking at the game play of RCB, former cricketer Goutam Gambhir said, “Kohli, as a leader, should put his hands up and take responsibility for the team’s defeat”.
He also opined that there is no other franchise that would have persisted with the same skipper who has failed to win even a single title during eight years.
After the match captain Virat Kohli took to twitter to thank his team mates for standing with him in highs and lows.
Together through the highs and lows. It’s been a great journey for us as a unit. Yes things did not go our way but proud of the whole group. Thank you to all our fans for your support. Your love makes us stronger. See you all soon. #PlayBold @RCBTweets ❤️ pic.twitter.com/jIULXT0DLz

At the end RCB Coach gave credit to the Sun Risers, by saying, “I thought they squeezed us beautifully. They took early wickets and then we were always under pressure trying to play catch up”.
Though the journey for RCB has met the demise this time, RCB fans certainly will wait to see the team playing in finals.
