SunstarTV Bureau:Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reacted to the hike in petrol and diesel prices. He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task: “One of the things you and other people can do is to keep up the pressure … there are going to be some difficult decisions for government”. This will benefit the people. But so far the GST Council has not taken any action. It is now up to the GST Council to make the final decision.

The Union Petroleum Minister added that development work is underway on tax money. A total of Rs 35,000crore has been spent on the central tax collected on petrol and diesel during the corona period. Similarly, health spending alone has been increased by 137 percent in the current budget. The budget is expected to be 32 percent higher than last time.
