New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): The Cabinet Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday has given statement above the hiking price of petroleum products as “the prices of petroleum products in the country are governed by international market forces” in Rajya Sabha.
The reply from Pradhan came during the Question Hour.
However, KC Venugopal, the Congress party member had objected to Minister’s response, and shouted that “he is not putting forth the facts properly”.
Similarly, Samajwadi Party member Visambhar Prasad Nishad had questioned about the issue as, “prices of fuel were more in the country of Lord Ram and less in Mata Sita’s country Nepal”.
Petrol and diesel prices in India have risen again on the back of a surge in global crude prices above $60 a barrel now.
