Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday approved an ex-gratia amount Rs 2 lakh for the family of those who have lost their lives in an accident in Koraput district in Odisha late at night.
An amount of Rs 50,000 also announced to the survivors from the mishap.
“An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the unfortunate road accident in Koraput, Odissa. Rs. 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured,” PMO tweeted.

By sharing grief, Prime Minister has said, “My thoughts are with all those who have lost their dear ones in the tragic accident at Koraput, Odisha. I hope those injured recover at the earliest.”

Notably, on yesterday late night fatalities caused to nine while 13 sustained certain injuries after a van overturned in Kotput, Koraput district. The passengers were travelling from Sindhiguda village in Odisha to Kulta village in Chhattisgarh district.
