Sikkim (SunstarTV Bureau): Skirmish between India and China emerged after an attempt by the Chinese to intrude across the border at Naku La in North Sikkim last week, official sources confirmed.
Around 20 Chinese soldiers were injured in the clash. However, four Indian soldiers sustained injuries, said sources.
According to sources, Chinese soldiers tried to cross the border last week but Indian soldiers foiled the attempt despite hostile weather conditions in North Sikkim, which resulted in a brawl.
As per a senior officials report, as the situation at the clash in Sikkim is a major concern, but stable. On the other hand, the Indian forces have been maintaining a strict vigil despite inhospitable weather conditions along the Indian Territory.
The clash took place once again after June 15 when PLA soldiers had clashed with Indian troops close patrol point 14 in the Galwan vally of eastern Ladakh.
The ninth round of military talks held in between India and China to defuse border tension in eastern Ladakh on Sunday. The discussion which was held at Moldo opposite Chushul in eastern Ladakh sector, lasted for more than 15 hours and finished at around 2.30 am.
