SunstarTV Bureau: A rare animal, named Himalayan Serow, was sighted and captured in a camera by IFS officer, Susanta Nanda for the first time in Spiti valley, on 12 December.
Himalayan Serow is a goat antelope animal, that included under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and its hunting is prohibited. It is also listed among the endangered species by the International Union for Conservation for Nature.
A video shared by IFS officer, that shows a glimpse of the animal carefully walking along a steep ledge has now captured the attention of netizens.
