Meerut (SunstarTV Bureau): Pensioners feel relieved with state’s new facility of postmen visiting their house for making pension life certificate online at a small fee of Rs 70.
“Earlier I had to travel a lot for my life certificate, but now I can get it easily at home,” says a pensioner.
The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) of the Department of Posts and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the initiative for the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), where postman will now provide doorstep service or at any post offices for submission of Digital Life Certificate (DLC).
The central government said, “The pensioners need not to visit office of pension department or pension disbursing agency for submission of life certificate anymore.”
Pensioners can book doorstep request on post info mobile app or government website. The certificate will be instantly generated with Pramaan ID sent to pensioners’ mobile and the Life Certificate details will be automatically updated with the pension department, along with beneficiaries can get pensions at their doorstep.
