SunstarTV Bureau: Due to raising problem in the supply of coal in India, today the Ministry of Coal has given information on the situation of power crisis, and the reason behind this crisis. According to the coal ministry, the first reason was due to heavy rains around the coal mines in the month of September, the process of extracting and supplying coal from the mine was interrupted, due to which the coal crisis did not reach as much as was needed. Or it can be said that the supply of coal could not be done smoothly.

Explain that out of 135 thermal power stations, 115 power stations have critical and super critical shortfalls of coal. They do not have coal according to the prescribed standards.
The Prime Minister’s Office can review the current situation regarding the supply of coal in the country today. Due to the coal crisis, many states have expressed the possibility of blackout. Home Minister Amit Shah has also held a meeting with Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi and Energy Minister RK Singh yesterday regarding this issue.
Many states have expressed their concern to the Center regarding the deepening power crisis, although the central government has said that such apprehensions are baseless and said that there is no shortage of coal in the country and sufficient coal will be supplied to thermal power plants.
Explain that due to the shortage of coal in Maharashtra, 13 units of 7 thermal power plants have come to a standstill. According to the information – only one and a half day’s coal is present in the power plant. As per the current figures, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MahaGenco) has a stock of 1,91,475 MT, while the daily consumption is 1,49,000 MT. The work in these units of thermal power plant is stalled.
The 210 MW Chandrapayer, Bhuswa, Nashik unit of Mahajanko is closed. Mahajanko’s 250 MW Paras unit and 500 MW Bhusaval and Chandrapur units are also closed. Four units of 640 MW of Postal Gujarat Power Limited are closed. Three units of 810 MW of Ratan India Power Limited are closed.
