Bandipora (SunstarTV Bureau): An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter crashed with security forces in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir today, one police official said.
The identity of the killed militant is yet to be ascertained.
According to official report, cordon and search operation was launched in Chandaji area of the district after inputs about the presence of militants in the area after which an encounter broke out.
However, in the subsequent exchange of fire, one militant was killed while the encounter rages on.
Last week three militants had been killed in Shokbaba forests of Sumblar area of the same district.
Earlier an encounter took place at the same place (in Bandipora) after three militants were killed in the same district.
