SunstarTV Bureau: Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has reportedly resigned as the president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) amid political crisis in the party , weeks after being choosen for the post.
Sidhu, who was disappointed over the appointments in the new state Cabinet, sent his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi on September 28. Also he thinks it is not idle for him to work, as the decision is not progressive for the people of punjab.
“The collapse of a man’s character stems from the compromise corner. I can never compromise on Punjab’s future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab,” he said in the resignation letter.
