According to sources, the woman behind is Sonia Gupta, 45, who divorced her husband 17 years after the marriage.
However, it took three years long for her yet she was overjoyed and celebrate it through having a divorce party. Meanwhile, she has invited her relatives and friends and was seen making lots of fun with them. Besides, she was wearing a colorful dress and asked the guests to wear something like that.
Sonia said she had an arrange marriage in India 17 years ago. She was not happy with her marriage. She continued to adjust for a few years, but then decided to separate from her husband. Although his family members opposed his decision, she did not agree. She said her children and friends were very supportive during this time.
“People feel that after a divorce a woman’s life becomes difficult, but it’s not at all,” Sonia said. She said the divorce proceedings began in 2018 and that after five appearances in court, their divorce was now approved three years later. Now she wants to live hes life in his own way.
