SunstarTV Bureau: An FIR has been launched against Bhushan Kumar, the Managing Director of T-Series, at Mumbai’s D N Nagar police station after a woman alleged that she was raped by Bhusan on the due of giving her a job in one of his upcoming projects.
“A case of rape under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are still investigating the matter,” said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity. The case has been registered at D N Nagar Police Station in Mumbai. No arrests have been made yet.
The investigating officers said, the victim is a 30-year-old woman. The Mumbai Police is now expected to investigate and record the statement of Bhushan Kumar, who has not yet responded to the allegations.
Bhushan Kumar is known for his song production company in the Hindi film industry. He took control of the music company T-Series in 1997 when he was 19 after the murder of his father, Gulshan Kumar. He jumped into film production with the 2001 hit “Tum Bin”. Then Bhushan carried out several hit films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Ready and Aashiqui 2.
Kumar’s notable projects included such films as Yaariyan, Hate Story 3, Airlift, Hindi Medium, Tumhari Sulu, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Satyameva Jayate, De De Pyaar De and Kabir Singh.
