Mumbai
Furthermore, Maharashtra is breaking its record in counting of deadly virus cases and also has imposed night curfew. Amid the scare, stricter restrictions and rules have been prescribed for those who go out of work during the day. In addition, lockdowns have been announced across the state during weekends.
After a few months of relief, Coronavirus in Maharashtra is once again at its peak. Meanwhile, thousands of migrants working in Mumbai are being forced to pack their bags again amid fears of returning to their home state at any time. Hundreds of people are returning after catching the train. Thousands of migrant laborers had to migrate from Maharashtra due to the lockdown last year. This time the situation is looking worse.
Delhi
Due to number of spike in Corona virus cases the Delhi Government has imposed night curfew in state till April 30. Since the night curfew was imposed in the capital, the workers here are now afraid of lockdown again. There is a sudden rush on buses, trains and reservation centers. Also, workers working in places like construction companies, security agencies are applying holiday applications. According to the workers, the lockdown will also be declared as suddenly as the night curfew has been declared.
Madhya Pradesh
To control the rising infection of corona virus in MP, all government offices in the state will open only five days a week for the next three months. Chairing a meeting on Wednesday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that, “It has been decided to impose night curfew in all cities. The night curfew will begin from April 8 and continue until the next order. Apart from this, there will also be lockdown every Sunday in all cities.”
Odisha
As in Odisha no lockdown imposed yet, the Odisha Government on Tuesday directed its police administration to conduct a 10 day drive for strict enforcement of COVID-19 safety protocols. Chairing a high level meeting Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed concerns over resurgence in COVID-19 virus, which was increasingly infecting people in Odisha in recent weeks.
Chhattisgarh
In view of increasing cases of corona virus infection in Chhattisgarh, the administration has decided to impose lockdown in Raipur district from April 9 to April 19. The entire district has been declared a contested zone from six in the evening of April 9 to six in the morning on April 19. Officials said that during this period all boundaries of Raipur district will remain sealed. During this time, only the drug stores will be allowed to open within their stipulated time.
Punjab
Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday announced the extension of the night curfew across the state and ordered a ban on political events, in view of the rapid rise in corona virus cases in Punjab. The Chief Minister said that the nighttime curfew from 9 o’clock in the morning to five o’clock in the morning will now be applicable in all the 22 districts. Till now it was planted only in 12 districts. Under the new restrictions, only 50 guests will be allowed in closed spaces for cremation or weddings, and in such occasions in open space, only 100 guests will be allowed.
Uttar Pradesh
In view of the continuous increase in the cases of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad High Court has asked the state government to consider imposing a night curfew. Along with this, the court has also asked to consider the case of vaccinating all the people of the state. In Uttar Pradesh, all the schools from class 1 to 8 have been closed till April 11. The examinations will also be conducted with the Kovid-19 protocol.
Tamil Nadu
Like all states of the country, Tamil Nadu is also witnessing a spurt in cases of corona virus infection. However, so far no restrictions have been announced by the state government regarding this. The Madras High Court has strongly commented on this. According to media reports, on Wednesday, the court said that the situation in the state was deteriorating and the lockdown had not been imposed yet.
Gujarat
On the advice of Gujarat High Court, the state government has imposed night curfew in 20 cities on Tuesday. The Gujarat Police has recovered a fine of Rs 2.66 crore in four days from people not wearing masks and spitting in public places in view of the Corona global epidemic. About 6 thousand 600 people were fined every day from April 2 to April 5 for violations of Covid-19 related rules.
