SunstarTV Bureau: In a shocking and inhuman incident happened in Rajasthan where people protesting during ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Friday stopped an ambulance carrying a pregnant woman to hospital in Sriganganagar.
The incident took place at Nathawala bypass when the ambulance carrying the pregnant woman was on its way to the district hospital.
A video clearly shows the mother of the woman pleading with protestors to let them go but was allegedly told in uncertain words-‘let her die’.
Sriganganagar was the only district where the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by Sanyukt Kisan Morcha had any effect in Rajasthan given the concentration of Sikh community. But leaders of farmers’ agitation seem to have lost control of the ground despite clear instruction to allow passage of ambulances.
The woman is now said to be struggling for her life at Sriganganagar district hospital. Road and rail traffic faced disruptions in several parts of the country due to the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by farmers organisations demanding repeal of three farm laws brought up by the Narendra Modi government.
The call for Bharat Bandh was between 6 and 6 pm as protestors blocked the roads across the country. The farmers had asked the people to block the train services as well.
