SunstarTV Bureau: Amid the hike of Covid-19 cases in state, the Gujarat government on Tuesday has imposed a night curfew in four major cities – Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot till March 31.
According to government issued guidelines, the curfew will begin from March 17 and will be in place between 10 pm and 6 am.
Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation also directed eateries, restaurants, and malls to close down at 10 pm in eight wards of the city. The city reported 205 Covid-19 cases on March 15.
Notably, the state government had imposed the night curfew in November 2020 and it was since then extended five times. The last curfew ended on March 15 after the fifth extension announced on February 26 for 15 days.
