Washington (SunstarTV Bureau): The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpassed the 103.3 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.23 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Tuesday morning the current global caseload stood at 103,378,964 while the death toll counted to 2,236,559.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid-19 cases and death rates at 26,307,963 and 4,43,186 respectively. Following US, India stands in second place with 10,757,610 cases and fatalities rate of 1,54,392 recorded.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 9,229,322, Russia with 3,825,739, the UK with 3,846,851, France with 3,260,308, Spain with 2,822,805, Italy with 2,560,957, Turkey with 2,485,182, Germany with 2,232,327, Colombia with 2,104,506, Argentina with 1,933,853, Mexico with 1,864,260, Poland with 1,515,889, South Africa with 1,456,309, Iran with 1,424,596, Ukraine with 1,263,833 and Peru with 1,138,239.
The second-highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 2,23,945. Following Brazil, Mexico with 1,58,536, the UK with 1,06,774, Italy with 88,845, France with 76,657, Russia with 72,456, Iran with 58,038, Spain with 59,081, Germany with 57,496, Colombia with 54,272, Argentina with 48,249, South Africa with 44,399, Peru with 41,026, Poland with 37,222, Indonesia with 30,277, Turkey with 26,117, Ukraine with 23,931 and Belgium with 21,092 cases recorded.
