SunstarTV Bureau: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and other minister paid tribute to Gandhi ji at Raj Ghat in Delhi.
PM tweeted, “Tributes to the great Bapu on his Punya Tithi. His ideals continue to motivate millions. On Martyrs’ Day we recall the heroic sacrifices of all those great women and men who devoted themselves towards India’s freedom and the well-being of every Indian”.

President Ramnath Kovind has took to his twitter to pay tribute and tweeted, “On behalf of a grateful nation, my humble tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi who embraced martyrdom this day. We should adhere to his ideals of peace, non-violence, simplicity, purity of means and humility. Let us resolve to follow his path of truth and love.”

Other leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid homage to Gandhi at Rajghat, said, “I salute Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his death anniversary Today, we also remember all the freedom fighters, including the revered Bapu, who sacrificed everything to liberate the country. I pay my respects to all such fighters.”
