SunstarTV Bureau: Aadhaar is now the most sought after document when it comes for complying with various KYC norms especially in banks or for any other official or government works.
Many people across the country often find it hard to make changes in their demographics or even adding a mobile number to Aadhaar.
Official sources said adding a mobile number to Aadhaar is important as it offers lot of benefits to the people.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in a recent tweet said, “Adding a mobile number to Aadhaar doesn’t require any document. Just carry your Aadhaar to any nearby Aadhaar Center to place and add or update mobile number request.”
Apart from a mobile number, Aadhaar Card-holders can update their details like photographs, biometrics, or email id, too without any documents. They just need to visit any of the officials Aadhaar Seva Kendra and update their details.
A fee of Rs 50 will be charged from people per request for one or more demographic update.
