SunstarTV BUREAU: Cuttack police had busted a duplicate tea manufacturing unit and seized huge quantities of raw materials, at Mukameswar village under Sadar Police Station, on Wednesday.
The continuous raids and recovery of large quantity of spurious and duplicate eatables products reveals that the millennium city Cuttack has become an adulteration hub.
Earlier, fake honey, gangajal, sauce, spices, edible oil, turmeric powder and ghee manufacturing units had been reveled in the city.
Last month, a joint team of Commissionerate Police and food inspecting officials of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) had recovered more than one quintal of synthetic paneer from a bus during a raid.
The officials of Chauliaganj Police station and CMC had seized the synthetic paneer, while it was being transported from Kolkata to Cuttack in a private bus.
