This River is one of the magical endeavors, of mother-nature that gives us goose-bumps. One can witness one of such wonders in Russia.
Iskitimka River in Russia has turned into horrifying blood-red colour, which frightened the locals of that area. This is one of the several rivers in the country that have undergone a mysterious discolouration.
Deputy Governor, Andrei Panov of Kemerovo, said “The city storm drainage system is a possible source of contaminated water.”
However, the reason behind the discolouration is yet to be solved. Some others think, it is due to the chemical effect or the harmful pollution.
Animals also refuse to drink or swim in the red water. It is also not clear whether the chemical poses a risk to human health or not.
Many videos and photos of this river have gone viral on the social media.
This is not the only river in Russia to have turned red of late. Recently, a river in Naro-Fominsk in western Russia also turned red after a chemical release, as did Gvozdnya River earlier this year.
However, locals have complained that they were not provided with any details about the cause of pollution or assisted in anyway.
