Shivamogga (SunstarTV Bureau): Certain panic havocs on the residents of Shimoga, Karnataka on Thursday night as a loud blast sound was experienced by them and wanted to know the cause behind.
Besides Shivamogga, the sound was also heard by the Koppa and NR Pura areas of Chikkamagaluru district.
Several locals reported about the incident by tweeting that a loud sound was heard by people in the area forcing them to come out and see what happened. Reportedly, it happened at around 10.20 pm yesterday.
While the mystery shrouds over the netizens including earthquake as well as a sonic bomb, according to local media reports, the sound was caused by a dynamite blast in a stone quarry in Hunasodu village. The blast has reported from a lorry that was carrying dynamites.
Meanwhile, the concerned authorities are yet to react to this fresh incident.
