Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik prioritized health workers, pregnant women and people above 60 years of age for getting Covid vaccine at first.
During the Covid review meeting through video conference, the CM said, “We have to be careful keeping in view the second wave in Delhi and the USA and West European countries.”
He also added the way Odisha have taken advantage of planning and creating early infrastructure to contain the corona infection. He has strictly instructed the administrators to attain scientific attitude towards Covid vaccine distribution.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to ensure that people must not deviated from adhering to the covid guideline at any cost.
The Chief Secretary, DGP, Development Commissioner, 5-T Secretary and other senior officials were also present during the review meeting.
The steering committee on Covid-19 vaccine programme, chaired by chief secretary Asit Tripathy, is scheduled to hold its first meeting on Friday to plan implementation of various vaccine related activities.
