Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The height of idol for Dussehra this year now took an end after the Orissa High Court on Friday rejected a petition filed against restrictions imposed by the State Government earlier concerning over Covid norms.
Pertaining to mention here that, the noted petition was filed by Balu Bazar Puja Committee of Cuttack city seeking increase in height of idol for the auspicious Durga Puja of this year.
With the rejection of the petition, the height of Durga idol will not exceed from 4 feet as per the State Government’s guidelines issued in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
Opposing the State Government’s decision, the Cuttack Nagar BJP had called for 12-hour bandh in the city on September 13. The members of all puja committees in Cuttack city had extended their support to the protest.
