SunstarTV Bureau: Former world heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson to bang the south box office in his special starring in Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger . The Tyson who has ruled the boxing world for decades and been termed as undisputed in his time has many international casts in his pocket . For the millions of his fans in India it is a much anticipated project to come out next time .
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is cooking the project, also confirmed the same on his Twitter handle on Monday.
‘For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team! (sic),’ he wrote on his Twitter account.
Its not the first time where an international star cast to be introduced in south film industry but it’s first for the Tyson to make a cameo appearance in the climax portions of the Telugu film.
Liger marks the first collaboration of actor Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh. The film will feature Vijay as an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter.
Vijay was also quite excited about sharing the screen with the boxing legend. ‘We promised you Madness! We are just getting started. For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle – #LIGER The Baddest Man on the Planet The God of Boxing The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON (sic),’ he tweeted.
