SunstarTV Bureau: ‘Master’ actor Thalapati Vijay is often the talk of the town for his blockbuster films and his style. But this time he came to fore the media for the reason which might shocked his fans. The actor has filed a civil lawsuit against his parents in the Madras High Court.
According to reports, Vijay has filed a lawsuit against a total of 11 people, including his parents. Vijay’s father and director SK Chandrasekhar recently started a political party called ‘All India Thalapati Vijay Makkal Eikkam’. According to the documents submitted to the Election Commission, Vijay’s father is the general secretary of the party, while his mother, Shobha Chandrashekhar, is the treasurer.
Earlier in the day, Vijay had said in a statement that he had nothing to do with the party. Furthermore, Vijay appealed to his fans not to attend the party in his name. Vijay added that if anyone misused his name, image or his fan club, he will take necessary action against them.
Thalapati Vijay is a big name in South Indian cinema. Vijay advertises for many big companies. It is estimated that he earns Rs 10 crore annually from advertising. Vijay Coca-Cola, the Indian Premier League team, is campaigning for other brands, including the Chennai Super Kings. According to a report, Vijay’s annual income from 2019 is around Rs 100-120 crore. He has a net worth of $ 56 million, or about Rs 410 crore.
