United Kingdom (SunstarTV Bureau): Lexi Robins was born on January 31 in United Kingdom (UK) who seemed as a normal baby girl, now turning into stone due to an extremely rare genetic disorder.
The misery for her family like clutches winced after the doctor speeched that the baby girl was diagnosed with a life time disease called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) which affects just one in two million.
In this rare health condition the FOP lead to bone formation outside skeleton and stop movement to replace muscles and connective tissues, such as tendons and ligaments, with bone. Thus, it is generally perceived that the condition turns a body into stone.
Meanwhile, with this health ailments the patient can be bedridden by the age of 20 and the life expectancy would be upto 40 years.
The disorder leads Lexi’s condition may worsen gradually if she suffers any minor trauma, as simple as falling over. She cannot receive injections, vaccinations and dental care and cannot give birth.
