Delanga (SunstarTV Bureau): A newborn girl was found abandoned in a nearby Gadabegunipada jungle of Delanga, in Puri district on Sunday morning.
According to reports, at around 5 am one villager named Satya Ranjan Patra after hearing a baby cry rushed into the forest and found the girl crying with pain.
After being informed, Manas Ranjan Patra, Pinki Patra, Tapaswini Patra, Shuvendu Patra and Krishan Patra of the village reached the spot and rescued the baby girl.
Soon after, with the help of Sashi Shekhar Rai, a young social activist of Swadhin Seva Sansthan, the new born was shifted to Khordha hospital for better treatment.
