Bhopal (SunstarTV Bureau): One of the rarest fossils in the world has been discovered in Bhimbetka rock shelters near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Scientists from the Geological Survey of India (GSI) have discovered the fossil.
The fossil was discovered by chance on the roof of what’s called the ‘Auditorium Cave’.
Meanwhile, scientists have made it clear that the fossil is currently in the safest state, with the fossil being about 17 inches long.
According to researchers’ statement, they have found the first-ever fossil in India of Dickinsonia.
Dickinsonia is the earth’s ‘oldest animal’, dating back 570 million years. The creature is believed to be one of the key links between early organisms and the explosion of life in the Cambrian period.
