Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha government has decided to waive of the hostel fees of government ITI students in the state on Wednesday.
The move has been taken by the government is likely to benefit around 30,000 ITI students in Odisha.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made an announcement today that students will not have to pay the hostel fees of Rs 125 per month of last nine months till December 2020 which effectively adds up to a total of Rs 1125.
It may be noted here that hostels of all educational institutions were shut down after the enforcement of nationwide lockdown in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic in March last year.
