Kolkata (SunstarTV Bureau): BCCI President and India Cricket team former Captain Sourav Ganguly, who underwent angioplasty after suffering a mild heart attack, discharged from Woodlands Hospital here on Thursday.
Ganguly confirmed that he is absolutely fine and also thanked the whole medical team for looking after his health condition and doing the needful procedures after he arrived at the hospital with chest discomfort.
“I thank the doctors at the hospital for the treatment. I am absolutely fine,” he confessed the good news to reporters outside the Woodland Hospital.
The doctors will be keeping a “constant vigil” on Ganguly’s health and appropriate measures will be taken from time to time, said one medical personnel.
Notably, the 48-year-old was hospitalized at 1 pm on January 2 with chest discomfort, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness while performing physical exercise in the home gymnasium at around 11 am. Following this, doctors prescribed for angioplasty on him.
