SunstarTV Bureau: Odisha government announced, the students sitting for the BSE class 10 board exams this year will have to appear a total of 80 marks in each paper, on Sunday.
State School and Mass Education Minister, Sameer Dash, informed, “The papers will consist of 50 marks of OMR objective questions while 30 marks will be for subjective questions.
The evaluation of papers will, however, is done for 100 marks. As per the decision, evaluation of the rest 20 marks will be carried out on the percentage secured by the candidate from the given 80 marks.
Dash said, “Generally 50 days are required for evaluation and publication of the result. But gradually we will take stock of the situation. Now our priority is on opening of schools and start of the academic session”.
Earlier, the Odisha government had took the decision that, the schools for Class 10 and Class 12 students will reopen on January 8 and the Classes will be held for Class 10 students from January 8 to April 26 whereas Class 12 students will attend their classes from January 8 to April 28.
