SunstarTV Bureau: India celebrates Navy Day on December 4, to immortalise the valor of the courageous Armed force on ocean. On this occasion Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, took to tweeter to greet the navy personnel and their families.
Indian Navy Day is celebrated on December 4, every year in commemoration of Operation Trident, the attack launched by the Indian Navy on Karachi harbour during 1971’s Indo-Pakistan war. It was for the first time that an anti-ship missile was used in the operation.
“Navy Day greetings to all our valorous navy personnel and their families. The Indian navy fearlessly protects our coasts and also renders humanitarian assistance in times of need. We also remember India’s rich maritime tradition over centuries,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
