SunstarTV Bureau: 90’s childhood cartoon series ‘Tom and Jerry’ is back on the screen. This time, Tom and Jerry are wreaking havoc in one of the oldest hotels in New York.
The trailer of the new ‘Tom and Jerry’ film is out, and it revives the old cat-and-mouse chase in a new fashion.
Partially animated, this feature has the iconic characters Tom and Jerry are only in animated form, whereas other characters of the movie are quite real. Of course, with a cat and mouse at the centre of the story, one can’t expect it to be realistic anyway.
As the viewers of the 90s animated shows have grown up, the film has also evolved accordingly. This gives the Tom and Jerry fans a surreal feeling.
In the trailer audience can see Jerry landing up in New York hotel which is going to host the ‘wedding of the century.’ The hotel wants to get rid of its mouse problem so they get a cat, which happens to be Tom and the hilarity ensues.
The film stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Pena, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost, and Ken Jeong and directed by Tim Story. This film is scheduled to be released in 2021.
