Bhubaneswar(SunstarTV Bureau): Odisha Tourism all set to return from hibernation with re-organisation of ‘Eco Retreat Festival’ for the second term, near Kushabhadra mount on Ramachandi beach in Puri district, from December 1.
With the whole world returning to normalcy, Odisha government has decided to augment the massive success of last year’s ‘Eco Retreat’ festive.
In adherence to Covid-19 guidelines, all the pleasantries will be set up on the beach, alike last year. Around 50 luxury tabernacles are planned to set up for the domestic tourists.
Whereas, tourists from outside the state will be deprived of having the magnificent experience due to ongoing pandemic.
Tourism Director Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav and Puri Collector Balwant Singh have reviewed the arrangements for the three-month-long gargantuan beach festival.
“This year there will be value addition, which certainly help to revive our livelihood and economy, which has been hit hard by Covid-19,” said the collector.
Last year’s gala event had received a towering response from the tourists. The tents had recorded 89 per cent occupancy. More than 5,000 concertgoers and 4,000 backpackers had helped keeping the two-month long festival charismatic.
