Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Odisha Television Limited (OTV), Manoranjan Sarangi stepped down from the post citing health issue and personal reasons.
Sarangi, has recently been arrested by the Odisha Crime Branch in connection with Sarua land scam. He also resigned from the post of Director, Odisha Infratech Private Limited.
In the resignation letter to the Managing Director of OTV, Sarangi has mentioned health issue as the reason for resignation. He is suffering from high diabetes and hypertension, the unpredicted arrest by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of CB has accelerated deterioration of his health condition.
“Under such circumstances, I am not in a mental position to continue my service in the company,” the official stated the letter.
The EOW had arrested Sarangi for his alleged involvement in purchasing of land belonging to some low caste persons of Sarua village in Khordha district in fraudulent matter, on November 1 this year.
