Washington (SunstarTV Bureau): The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpassed the 108 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.38 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Thursday morning the current global caseload stood at 1,08,156,270 while the death toll counted to 2,382,172.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid-19 cases and death rates at 27,489,619 and 4,80,748 respectively. Following US, India stands in second place with 10,880,603 recorded Covid-19 cases and third in fatalities rate of 1,55,447 which recorded.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 9,765,455, Russia with 3,997,989, the UK with 4,025,574, France with 3,466,629, Spain with 3,056,035 and Italy with 2,697,296,
The second-highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 237,489. Following Brazil, Mexico with 1,72,557, the UK with 1,16,507, Italy with 93,045, France with 80,954 cases have been recorded so far.
