Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): After a major breakdown by Covid-19 pandemic, now normalcy return to campuses after Centre allowed resumption of teaching in several universities and colleges in India.
Meanwhile, India Government has issued several unlock guidelines in view of pandemic at regular intervals with necessary precautions that needs to be followed.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Friday has asked Universities and Colleges to strictly implement the reopening guidelines which were issued in November last year.
In a letter, the UGC has asked vice-chancellors of universities and college principals to strictly ensure that these guidelines are strictly followed. The UGC had issued the guidelines through a letter on November 5, 2020.
Notably, Universities and other educational institutions across the country were closed since March 16, 2020 after Government of India announced a countrywide lockdown on COVID-19 outbreak.
The University Grants Commission issued “Guidelines on Examinations and Academic Calendar for the Universities in view of COVID-I9 pandemic and subsequent Lockdown” on April 29, 2020 and then, on 6th July, 2020.
