Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): Even after a probe has ordered by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to initiate the delay in rituals of Suna Besa in Pausha Purnima, on Saturday some servitors have pointed out the administration fault for the incident, informed sources.
According to the secretary of Puspalaka servitors, a similar incident has witnessed during the Nagarjuna Besha. The servitors also demanded flowers and thermocol which should be used in the upcoming Suna Besha of Holy Trinity on the occasion of Dola Purnima.
Similarly, Harekrushana Singhari, secretary of Puspalaka Nijog said, “The delay is the result of negligence in the administrative level. The duty officer on the day orchestrated the fiasco. It seems vindictive.”
“Gold jewelleries were not provided to us by the administration so the ritual could not proceed as usual. Therefore, we had to stay at Ratnasighasan for more than 4 hours. If it was not the administration’s fault, then who was to blame,” questioned Bijay Krushna Singhari, Palia servitor.
Reportedly, the Bhandar Mekap had allegedly refused to hand over the jewellery of Lord Jagannath due to the presence of three more Singhari servitors on Ratnasighasan on the occasion of Puspabhisek which had further led to a dispute between two groups of servitors resulting in the delay of about five hours in the golden attire rituals of the deities.
The delay in ritual let the devotees deprive of the spectacular ‘Rajarajeswara Besha’ or ‘Suna Besha’. Besides, devotees were devoid of availing Mahaprasad on the auspicious occasion.
The reaction of the temple administration yet to receive.
