Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Department has issued yellow warning of the heavy cold waves to two districts as Jharsuguda and Sundergarh for the next three days in the state.
The minimum temperature will dip below as dry and cold northerly and north-westerly winds will start blowing towards the state.
Normal life has been disrupted due to the cold wave. Similarly, several parts of the State on Sunday have witnessed dense fog with visibility reducing to at least 10-20 meters. The condition will persist for more 2-3 days, weather experts said.
As per the latest weather bulletin, the night temperature in several parts of interior Odisha is likely to fall by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius and 2 to 3 degrees in coastal districts during the next 2 to 3 days.
Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput
Yellow Warning of dense fog issued to one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Kendrapara Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, and Kandhamal.
Similarly, fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Ganjam till tomorrow.
