Cuttack (SunstarTV Bureau): For 14th edition of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2021, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Friday recommended the names of as many as six players to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for their bidding.
The six players named as Subhransu Senapati, Rajesh Dhupar, Rajesh Mohanty, Papu Ray, Gourav Choudhury and Tarini Sa.
According to OCA reports, Subhransu and Gourav have been recommended as batsmen. Similarly, Rajesh and Tarini have been directed as medium pacers. Besides, Dhupar and Papu have been categorized as wicket keeper-batsman and tweaker, respectively.
“All these players have been selected on the basis of their stellar performances in the on-going Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 cricket tournament and past records,” OCA further added.
It is pertaining to mention that, all rounder Biplab Samantray and wicket keeper batsman Haldhar Das from Odisha have played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers, respectively in previous seasons.
