SunstarTV Bureau: The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpasses the 96.8 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.07 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Friday morning the current global caseload stood at 96,823,968 while the death toll counted to 2,073,866.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid cases and death rates at 24,432,807 and 406,001 respectively. Following US, India stands at second place with 10,595,660 Cases and with 152,718 death cases.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 8,638,249, Russia with 3,595,136, the UK with 3,515,796, France with 3,023,661, Turkey with 2,406,216, Spain with 2,412,318, Germany with 2,090,195 and Colombia with 1,956,979.
The second highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 212,831. Following Brazil, Mexico with 144,371, the UK with 93,469, Italy with 83,681, France with 71,792 and Russia with 66,214.
