As soon as the information about the virus spreading to the scientists reached the Indian embassy in the country, the government authorities asked the IAF to bring back the scientists.
IAF had earlier brought back people from all over the world but had never flown Covid-19 positive patients.
However, the C-17 has been preparing for such an eventuality and had practiced maneuvers to fly Covid-19 patients in the emergency time.
At the airport in that country, the Indian officials brought back safely the group of scientists to the aircraft which had created all the necessity facilities for evacuating and safely placing them.
