UAE (SunstarTV Bureau): Trailblazers beat Supernovas by 16 runs to clinch the Jio Women’s T20 Challenge title at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on November 9.
While the whole world is buzzing around the male IPL, women IPL has stole the lime light with an outstanding performance. Needing 119 runs to win, Supernovas lost the match to Triblazers, as Chamari Athapaththu left the ground early, Sophie Ecclestone trapped her before the wickets to give Trailblazers their first breakthrough.
The winning team encompasses of Smriti Mandhana (captain), Deepti Sharma, Punam Raut, Richa Ghosh, D. Hemalatha, Nuzhat Parween (wicket-keeper), Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Harleen Deol, Jhulan Goswami, Simran Dil Bahadur, Salma Khatun (Ban), Sophie Ecclestone (Eng), Natthakan Chantham (Tha), Deandra Dottin (WI) and Kashvee Gautam.
