Sundargarh (SunstarTV Bureau): The district administration of Sundargarh steps forward to support migrants and youths of the district to join courses in Hotel Management under its skill development program, Odisha.
The program was recently announced by the official to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youths and returnees of the district. The administration signed a MoU on October 7.
The State Institute of Hotel Management offers degree, diploma and certificate courses. In the first phase, 4 students have enrolled in the degree, 11 in the diploma and 2 in the certificate course. The District Mineral Foundation (DMF), Sundargarh funds will bear all the expenses related to their enrolment and training. Moreover, an additional Rs. 5,000 per annum will be grant to each student
Enrolment for the degree course has been closed for this academic year, while the deadline for admission to diploma and certificate courses is due till November 30.

The age limit for the general category for both diploma and certificate courses is 25, while for candidates for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, it is fixed as 28.
