Bhubaneswar ; Ward meetings are being organized to disseminate the message of night sweeping and its benefits for city dwellers. Additional Commissioners being guardian officers of respective zones are conducting the meeting involving different communities from each ward. Yesterday Addl. Commissioner I Laxmikanta Sethi chaired the meeting at ward no.8 and Addl.Commissioner II Binaya Kumar Dash chaired the meeting at ward no.15 and 46, In presence of Zonal Deputy Commissioners.
The communities were informed to cooperate night sweeping in their wards along with promotion of sanitation abiding 5m radius cleaning, restricted use of single use plastic and following double dustbin practice. Today,Zonal Deputy Commissioner Ravinarayan Jethi took a separate meeting for ward no.46 and urged community members for their active cooperation in night sweeping of the ward to be started soon. Similarly Zonal Deputy Commissioner Purandar Nanda has reiterated communities of ward no. 8 about the same. It is wise mentioning that BMC is expanding its night sweeping activities to different administrative zones after its successful trial in ward no.40. Citizens are requested to cooperate such Sanitation practice for a Clean and Green Bhubaneswar
