Mumbai (SunstarTV Bureau): Ramanand Sagar’s most popular television show ‘Ramayan’ who played the iconic character of Ravan, the veteran actor Arvind Trivedi breathed his last on last night due to cardiac arrest here, informed the family members of the actor. He was 82.
Meanwhile, the last rites will take place at Dahanukarwadi crematorium, Kandivali West, Mumbai.
The television show Ramayan was telecasted from January 1987 to July 1988 and the show give a forefront to Trivedi who became popular by immortalising the Ravan character of noted serial, which also starred Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahiri as Ram, Sita and Lakshman, respectively.
The show regained popularity after it was aired on Doordarshan during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Last year, a video of him watching the Ramayan scene where Ravan kidnaps Sita, went viral on social media.
