Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Being continuing zero tolerance against corruption, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday has sent four more officials on compulsory retirement.

Reportedly, including two OAS officers, a district Sub-registrar and a former district chief of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development (FARD) Department have been given compulsory retirement over corruption  charges.

Of the four officials, Angul Deputy Collector Janakinath Mishra has two corruption cases levelled against him and is facing nine official proceedings. Besides, allegation of dereliction in duty levelled against him has also been proved.

Similarly, Nuagarh Tehsildar of Gajapati district Akul Mallik has one corruption case lodged against him and is facing two department proceedings. He was sent on compulsory retirement for dereliction in duty and misappropriation of funds.

Besides, Sub-registrar of Dhenkanal district, Lalatendu Satpathy, has two corruption cases and two official proceedings pending against him. The stern action was taken against him for dereliction in duty.

Dr Trilochan Dhal, former district chief of Fisheries and Animal Resources Development (FARD) Department, was given compulsory retirement as a corruption case is pending against him after he was found in possession of disproportionate assets. With this, the state Government has so far given compulsory retirement to 122 officials.
