Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Vijay Panigrahi, director of Health and Family Welfare department, responded above the COVID vaccine. “A record number of vaccinations were given in the state on Monday,” he said. Vaccination began on January 16. On Monday, 4,16,000 vaccination jabs were given to people.
Till date, 2.8 million people so far have been vaccinated. Among 66% of them took the first dose. 72% took the second dose after their first dose of COVID vaccine.
“We now have 22 lakh vaccines in stock. We are trying to vaccinate the first dose in the state by the end of December this year,” the director of family welfare said.
