Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The well-known Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra death case, deceased’s wife Bidya Bharati to undergo lie detector test at the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) on Monday.
The Odisha Crime Branch, had recently conducted the lie detector test of Paralakhemundi Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sangram Keshari Behera and cook Manmath Kumbha, against whom the deceased’s family members have filed a police complaint alleging that Bidya Bharati, the DFO and the cook are involved in murdering him.
Meanwhile, around 100 questions were asked to Behera for three hour long lie detector test, informed sources.
As there was mismatch in the statements of the DFO and the cook recorded by the police and the Crime Branch during questioning, the duo underwent the lie detector test, sources added.
The Paralakhemundi ACF was found in a critical condition with burn injuries at his official residence on July 12 and died the next day at a private hospital in Cuttack.
